The Pitchside WhatsApp bot

Coaches run their week in WhatsApp, and the Pitchside bot does the admin there. It sends the session, collects the replies and keeps the attendance list, so the evening does not go on chasing answers. You can run the bot on its own, so a club listing on Pitchside is helpful but never required, and the price is A$4.99 a week for one coach. It is not a football-only tool: there is a page for each sport below.

How a week actually runs
Three messages do the admin.

Send the session
Type it in the chat, or hold the mic and say it. Add a squad, a time and a place, and the bot writes it up.

Families reply yes or no
One tap each, with a nudge before the session closes. You see who is in without chasing anybody.

Take attendance and passes
Mark who turned up, keep the tally straight, and sell session passes when your club charges for them.

Which sport do you coach?
The bot works the same way for each sport, and the words change with it: a basketball coach sends practice, a rugby coach sends training, a swimming coach sends the squad to the pool. Each page below walks through the workflow and the messages for that sport.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A coach phone seat is one coach with bot access, however many teams they run. Parents and players never take a seat.

A club that already runs more coach phones than its plan covers keeps every one of them. Nothing is switched off; new phones are paused until the club releases one or adds seats.

Price and coverage
The price, and where it works
A$4.99 a week for one coach, paid in Australian dollars. A coach phone covers one coach however many teams they run, and parents and players never take a seat. No club listing is needed to run the bot.
WhatsApp setup is configured for Australia, the UK, New Zealand, the US, Canada and Singapore. Coaches elsewhere cannot finish setup yet.
At the Reserve Bank of Australia rates for 14 October 2026 (USD 0.7002 and GBP 0.5275 for each Australian dollar), A$4.99 is about US$3.49 or GBP2.63. Checkout is in Australian dollars, so your bank's own rate and any fees can change the amount you see. Reserve Bank of Australia exchange rates.

Pro organisations already have bot access included. Sign in and turn it on. If you have a website listing but not Pro, you can run the standalone bot for the same club, on its own A$4.99-a-week subscription. You do not need a second organisation and you do not need to re-enter your coaches.
